This product has a natural, appealing appearance and a pleasant aroma. The texture is well-judged, with an element of chew that doesn’t go too far and is still tender, and a moistness that does not extend into being wet. The flavour is great, with plenty of layers and a well-judged balance between chilli, herbs and the meat itself. The flavour is long on the palate and complex, making this a moreish product.
These are very even slices of jerky, deeply aromatic and with an instant delivery of chilli with a kick, balanced by resounding acidity. The smoke is pleasantly subtle, allowing the sweetness and the flavour of the beef to emerge. A little hot for some but there’s no doubting the overall balance, the tenderness and the juiciness of this jerky.

Hunters Cheeky Chilli Beef Biltong
This gives the appearance of a hand seasoned product with the chilli seeds running through. There is a really meaty flavour and a gentle texture giving an easy well-seasoned eat. The chilli level was well judged – well in evidence but without setting the mouth on fire.
We liked the tenderness of this beef biltong and we found the flavour very moreish. We could detect both chilli and crushed black pepper and the spice combination had a compelling complexity.

This product has an unusual, enticingly aromatic quality with flavours of star anise and soy ensuring the palate knows it’s eating an Asian product. It’s sweet, spicy and has a lovely aftertaste and a great mouthfeel. It’s not overly chewy and is pleasing on the palate.

This has a deep maroon colour with very little fat. It is very beefy and aromatic. It has a satisfying level of chew and and is cut to a very good thickness. The spices are well-balanced with a good peppery flavour and a pleasant umami finish.

This biltong has a pleasant aroma with plenty of spice and black pepper. The meat is good quality, with a great texture that is chewy without being tough, and it has retained its moisture. The black pepper is well judged, with an intensity that complements the flavour of the meat without being overpowering or overwhelming.
Delicate, slim slices of biltong with an enticingly beefy aroma. The chew is gentle, releasing some juiciness, the umami persists throughout, the spiciness is apt. Well made and enjoyable.

An even, well sized sausage, with a good fat content giving the meat a nice amount of moistness. The clove flavour is fairly prominent, but works well and in balance with the beef flavours.
These look like lovely sticks of dried meat with a lovely basil and beef aroma. The flavour packs a real beefy punch and has a lovely mouthfeel. It’s an excellently flavoured aromatic version of a droewors. Delicious!

A really inviting aroma of the sweet, smokey beef. The texture has a good chew. The flavours are well-balanced, with a lovely hit of the black pepper, sweet, grassy beef and sweet hickory smoke. A really well-executed product and a very tasty result.
We enjoyed the sweet hickory smoke aroma of this beef jerky, which transferred across to the taste, balanced out with hits of black-peppery heat. The texture was traditionally chewy but also quite tender.
